COVID-19 Safety Procedures

We put your safety first.

Safety is always our top priority, and we have been working hard to make sure that our return to travel will be as safe as it is fun! We strive to make your travel experience worry-free, so here are some of the ways we will be keeping everyone safe:

  • Assigned Seating: Seat selection will be made at the time of booking, and you will maintain that seat for the duration of your tour. During the booking process, you will be able to view the seating plan online and choose the seat you would like. So, the sooner you book, the better chance you’ll have of getting your preferred seating location!

  • Protection Plus: Book with confidence when you purchase our Protection Plus waiver! Protection Plus is available on all our motorcoach tours, and allows you to cancel for any reason right up until your tour’s departure time and receive a full refund on the price of your tour. Worried about waking up with the sniffles the morning of your tour? Protection Plus will have you covered! *Protection Plus is not available on tours that include cruises or airfare.

  • Masking Recommendation: Aboard our coaches, all passengers, staff and drivers are strongly encouraged to wear a mask.

  • Passenger Screening:

You will not be permitted to board the coach if you have been advised that you should be isolating. Different provinces, countries, and states have varying rules for isolation; we must follow the local public health requirements of wherever we are at the time.

  • Protective barriers: Plexiglass barriers have been installed behind the drivers’ seats on our motor coaches for your safety.

  • Hand sanitizer: Hand sanitizer units have been installed on the entry doors or in the stepwell of our coaches, and in the rear of the coach in the onboard washroom. Frequent hand sanitizer use is strongly encouraged.

  • Deep cleaning and sanitizing: Our coaches undergo a thorough deep clean/sanitize after every departure, including the use of hospital-grade cleaning materials and disinfecting fogging machines.

Vaccine Policy

We strongly encourage all passengers to remain current in their COVID-19 vaccinations. At this time, vaccination is not mandatory for travel within Canada. The United States currently requires non-citizens to be fully vaccinated, so you must bring proof of your full vaccination on any tour that crosses the border.

Did you know?
Unlike airplanes, motor coaches do not have recycled air in the interior. Motor coaches’ fresh air circulation systems provide a minimum of 6 fresh air exchanges per hour, approximately once every 10 minutes.

*Please note – the above information is current to the best practices available at the time. It will constantly be adapted as needed, to ensure that the highest standards of safety are being met.

**While we are taking all precautions to ensure safety, there is an inherent risk to being exposed to COVID 19 whenever we are in settings with other people. By travelling, you are accepting this risk and understand that Great Canadian Holidays and Coaches cannot be responsible for any COVID-19 exposure that you may encounter during your tour, whether onboard the motorcoach or at any of the venues or locations visited.
