Accessibility Standard

Great Canadian Holidays & Coaches takes every possible step to meet the needs of all our clients, regardless of their special circumstances. Here are just some of the ways we accomplish this:

  • Itineraries, tour documents and other written materials are available in large print on request.

  • Service animals are always welcome in our office facility and on our motor coaches.

  • Travelling companions assisting a special needs client are offered a discount.

  • All staff dealing directly with our clients have received training for accessible customer service.

  • Our office in Kitchener is fully accessible.

  • We operate some wheelchair-equipped motor coaches

  • Our coaches offer ample storage space for walkers and wheelchairs.

  • Electric scooters can be accommodated with advance notice and at pickup locations serviced by the coach (not shuttle vans). An able-bodied assistant must be responsible for stowing the unit (wheelchair/scooter) on the motor coach.

  • Portable oxygen is allowed onboard the coach in small carry-on containers and must be carefully secured in an upright position in hand luggage.

Please note that because we travel to so many different places, not all areas will be accessible and may present difficulties for the physically challenged. We recommend that you speak with our helpful reservations staff to assist you in choosing a tour that fits your physical abilities.
