Christmas in Washington

Day One:

This morning, we board the coach and meet our travel companions. Enjoy a scenic drive to Bedford, PA, our home for the night.

Day Two:

After breakfast, we travel to Washington, D.C., arriving late morning. Spend some time at the Smithsonian Natural History Museum, a space that tells the compelling saga of our planet's journey, starting from its fiery inception through billions of years of transformation! Afterwards, a local step-on guide joins us on the coach for a guided city tour. We then check into our home for the next two nights, the spectacular Gaylord National Resort. Nestled on the banks of the Potomac River, our resort offers one-and-a-half acres of lush, indoor gardens. Wander through the tranquil paths and enjoy the perfect 72-degree temperature throughout our stay. Dinner is included this evening at a nearby restaurant.

Day Three:

Merry Christmas! The day is yours to take in the many activities taking place at the resort. Our stay includes tickets to their signature holiday attraction, ICE!, a holiday display made up entirely of ice. You may wish to simply relax and take in the atmosphere of the beautifully decorated 19-storey atrium. The choice is yours to spend Christmas day at your leisure.

Day Four:

Our day begins with a visit to the Chantilly Air & Space Museum - one of the most popular museums in the world! View thousands of aviation and space artifacts, including the Space Shuttle Discovery and a Concorde before heading to Cranberry, PA for the night.

Day Five:

This morning, we stop in Erie at Millcreek Mall for shopping before we head home. With over 170 shops and boutiques, there's plenty of boxing week sales to uncover!
