Prairie Adventure by Coach

Day One:

Today, we meet our travel companions on the road. Together, we travel to Toronto to catch a flight to Calgary.

Day Two:

Enjoy a fascinating day tour of Banff, located within Banff National Park. This sightseeing day is complete with a breathtaking gondola ride up Sulphur Mountain. See a whole new side of this region from the summit!

Day Three:

Today, we travel Northeast to discover Drumheller, home to some of the most important fossil discoveries ever made. We visit the Royal Tyrrell Museum, and be blown away by the stunning Horseshoe Canyon landscape (including the unique rock formations known as Hoodoos).

Day Four:

This morning, we journey together to Edmonton, Alberta's capital city. Take in a guided city tour upon arrival, followed by free time to explore West Edmonton Mall. This impressive complex has over 800 stores and services including nine attractions, two hotels and over 100 dining venues! There's no shortage of fun to be had.

Day Five:

Rise and shine! Today, we travel Southeast to Saskatoon, lovingly nicknamed the "Paris of the Prairies". This afternoon, there are two activities to choose from: Visit the Remai Modern Museum or enjoy free time along the Broadway Avenue strip.

Day Six:

This morning, we see the best of Saskatoon on a fascinating driving tour. From downtown murals to the historic Nutana Neighbourhood, there's so much to beauty to admire. This afternoon, we visit the Wanuskewin sacred site and gathering place to gain a better understanding and appreciation of the evolving cultures of the Northern Plains Indigenous peoples.

Day Seven:

After a delightful stay in Saskatoon, we depart for Regina, the capital of Saskatchewan. Along the way, we'll visit the Tunnels of Moose Jaw for an entertaining history lesson, ranging from topics such as prohibition in the 1920s, the Cold War, and more. This afternoon we'll enjoy an included lunch and visit to the Western Development Museum, followed by a visit to the RCMP Heritage Centre.

Day Eight:

This morning, take in a visit to the Royal Saskatchewan Museum, home of the world's largest Tyrannosaurus Rex. Then, we'll journey together to Winnipeg.

Day Nine:

Discover the best of Winnipeg on a breezy driving tour of the city. Then, explore at your own pace; we'll offer an optional shuttle to a local art gallery (at own expense). Tonight, we'll enjoy an included Great Canadian "Fabric of Canada" event.

Day Ten:

We start the day with a riveting trip to the Assiniboine Park Zoo and Conservancy. Meet, admire, and learn more about furry friends such as: polar bears, camels, tigers, pandas, bison, wolves, and so many more! This afternoon, we visit the Museum for Human Rights for a fascinating tour. Learn more about the evolution, celebration and future of human rights.

Day Eleven:

After a brief pause at the airport, our group continues East across Manitoba through to Ontario, until we reach Dryden. Did you know that Dryden is nicknamed the "Wilderness City"? It's the least populous community in Ontario incorporated as a city. Surrounded by forests and lakes, it's a unique and captivating destination.

Day Twelve:

Our heads Southeast today towards Thunder Bay. Along the way, we'll experience the powerful Kakabeka Falls, the second highest waterfall in Ontario. Then, we'll visit the inspiring Terry Fox National Historic Monument. Take in the views of the vast Lake Superior and learn more about this Canadian hero's legacy through an interpretive talk.

Day Thirteen:

Today, you're invited to soak up the natural beauty of Northern Ontario as we travel from Thunder Bay to Sault Ste. Marie

Day Fourteen:

Sit back, relax, and reminisce about this incredible journey through the pretty Prairies as we travel home.
