Spring in British Columbia

Day One:

This morning, we board a luxury motorcoach to meet our fellow travel companions. We journey together to Toronto to catch a flight to Vancouver, BC.

Day Two:

We begin our adventure with a guided tour of Vancouver. Relax aboard the coach as an expert leads us through major landmarks and scenic points, including Stanley Park, Gastown, and Chinatown. Soak up the best of the city from the breathtaking Vancouver Lookout, followed by free time to explore Granville Island. This afternoon we visit the stunning Vancouver Botanical Gardens - and just in time to see cherry blossoms in bloom!

Day Three:

This morning, we journey to the peak of Vancouver, Grouse Mountain. Enjoy a gorgeous gondola ride to the summit, take in the views at your own pace, and perhaps catch a show at the mountaintop cinema, Theatre in the Sky. The afternoon is yours to discover. There will be optional shuttles to the iconic Capilano Suspension Bridge Park and Aquarium!

Day Four:

After an exciting few days in Vancouver, we pack and depart for Kelowna, a breathtaking region surrounded by provincial parks, pine forest, vineyards, orchards and mountains. Though it's a longer travel day, you'll be pleased with the lovely scenery along the way. From fading views of the ocean, to thrilling tunnels through the mountains, to surprise wildlife, and more - it's not your average road trip! This afternoon, we'll enjoy a visit to a local winery in Kelowna. Learn more about the world of winemaking and sample their impressive selection.

Day Five:

This morning, we depart for Kamloops, located on the traditional lands of the Tk?emlúps te Secwépemc. Our first stop is to the Secwépemc Residential School. Our Tour Director will tell us about the People, their culture, the region's residential schools and the truth that continues to be uncovered. This afternoon, we visit BC Wildlife Park, a zoo that's home to nearly 200 animals and 65 different species that are native to British Columbia including cougars, bears, wolves, reptiles, and more! Then, we check in to our hotel. Once you're settled in, there is an optional excursion to the Kamloops Art Gallery where you'll enjoy a walking tour of eclectic murals downtown.

Day Six:

After breakfast, we travel southwest to Whistler. While this popular destination is known for its winter fun, in the spring it melts into wealth of opportunities. You're welcome to explore on your own; stroll and shop through the village, browse local museums, soak up the scenery, the choice is yours. We spend the evening in Squamish.

Day Seven:

Today, we journey south to catch a ferry to Victoria. When we arrive, we'll be treated to a fascinating tour of the city. From Fisherman's Wharf to Craigdarroch Castle, it's a relaxing way to see the best of the area.

Day Eight:

Rise and shine! This morning, we visit the world-famous Butchart Gardens, a beautiful haven, overflowing with lush greens and colourful blooms. Enjoy an included breakfast onsite, followed by a self-guided stroll through the many gardens. Afterwards, we're in for a treat - embark on an exciting whale watching cruise. Locals and visitors alike have the opportunity to spot these gentle giants all year round!

Day Nine:

We depart Victoria and head toward Nanaimo, a lovely port city on the east coast of Vancouver Island. This region is rich in indigenous culture - we'll get the chance to view a large collection of totem poles in Duncan, and vibrant murals in Chemainus. After lunch, we board a ferry to Vancouver where we'll share a farewell dinner at the hotel.

Day Ten:

After a wonderful sightseeing adventure through BC, we board our flight home to Ontario.
