Western Canada & The Canadian Rockies Eastbound

PLEASE NOTE

There are two itineraries available for this tour. The eastbound itinerary listed below is for the July 30 departure. For the July 22 departure, the itinerary is the same but in reverse.

Day One

Convenient shuttles take you to Toronto's Pearson International Airport for a direct flight to Vancouver. Settle in for a two-night stay.

Day Two

A guided tour shows you the best of beautiful Vancouver. Then, enjoy lunch and free time this afternoon on Granville Island.

Day Three

Board a ferry and cruise from Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay on Vancouver Island. Then, take a guided tour of beautiful Victoria, followed by free time in the beautiful downtown. See the impressive Empress Hotel, stroll the harbour waterfront, enjoy dinner on your own, or even take in an evening boat cruise.

Day Four

Visit amazing Butchart Gardens this morning, one of the world’s premier show gardens. This afternoon, take a tour through some lovely parts of Vancouver Island, including a stop in Duncan to see the famous totem poles, and Chemainus for their famous murals, which cover most exterior walls in town. Then, return to Victoria for the night.

Day Five

Return to the mainland this morning and make the scenic drive to the charming city of Kelowna. On arrival, visit one of the many fantastic wineries that make the Okanagan Valley famous. After sampling some of their product, we check into our hotel. The evening is free for you to dine on your own...the coach will offer a dine-around plan so you can experience one of Kelowna’s most talked-about restaurants.

Day Six

A gorgeous drive today takes you through the gentle hills and valleys of the Okanagan Valley and into the peaks of the Rockies. Spend the night at a fascinating resort complex on an inland lake, where you'll enjoy a ghost town tour and barbecue dinner for a unique experience.

Day Seven

This morning, visit the memorial where the Last Spike was driven in to complete the Trans Canada Rail Line, and also see the incredible Spiral Tunnels. This afternoon, see spectacular Lake Louise, with Victoria Glacier reflected in the lake in an iconic scene. Spend the night in beautiful Canmore.

Day Eight

This morning take a ride up Sulphur Mountain on a gondola, for glorious views of the mountains and the town below. Take some time to walk the well maintained boardwalk trails, or just sit and enjoy the view. Travel to Calgary this afternoon, where a local guide joins you upon arrival for a tour of the city. Enjoy a farewell dinner with your travelling companions this evening.

Day Nine

Board a flight back to Toronto for a convenient return flight home, where you’ll meet Great Canadian shuttle drivers for a worry-free drive to your home town with plenty of memories from your adventure out west.
